Autumn in Aetrex: Teagan Shoe Review
This post is sponsored by Aetrex, but the viewpoints shared are all my own.
For most of the country fall is a season with changing leaves and cooling temps. It’s a time to break out sweaters and do fall things like harvest festivals and apple picking. In Miami, however, fall looks and feels like a slight dip in temperature. Fall is a time when we want to do all the cute fall-themed things, but we must do it in shorts and mindful that we might melt if we stay outside too long. Miami’s seasons and temperatures are on a spectrum of hot to hotter to I-melted-out-there hot. Even with the barely-there seasonal changes, fall represents a shift in hours of sunlight and an opportunity to let go of the old to invite in the new. It’s for this reason that I was so happy to partner up with Aetrex for their Autumn in Aetrex campaign. Keep reading for more on my experience with their Teagan shoe.
The Teagan sneakers (in black) arrived shortly after I returned from the Great Smoky Mountains Running Experience and just in time for getting the test drive of a lifetime as I ran headfirst into moving—don’t worry Miami friends, it was a local move. I was excited about getting these sneakers because I needed a good everyday sneaker that can keep up with my mom-on-the-go/athlete-constantly-recovering lifestyle. Let me tell you, the shoe did not disappoint, and it exceeded expectations. But first, here’s a little but about the Teagan arch support sneaker:
Aetrex Signature Arch Support
Cobra Orthotic Technology
Stretchy knit collar
Stretchy gore for adjustability
Lightweight slip-on style
Padded heel
The first thing I noticed upon putting on the shoe was the arch support. It was weird at first to have so much support, but that showed me how little support I get normally from the shoes I wear. With all the pounding my legs take on the run, the arch support in the shoe was refreshing and helped me feel lighter on my feet. I wore the Teagan sneaker all week while I moved (all the lifting, walking, squatting, and organizing) and I truly believe the sneaker helped me feel less tired on my feet. I also appreciated how lightweight and breathable the shoes were and I absolutely loved that the shoes with slip-on! No lie, I squealed when I realized the shoes were slip-on! As an adult, if I can’t slip my feet into a shoe, I don’t want the shoe. I have so many things to think about and so many decisions to make that I don’t have the time or energy for figuring out how to put on a shoe; I like the comfort of having a shoe I can trust enough to put on quickly and get moving. The Teagan sneaker gave me that comfort during a particularly mentally challenging and physically grueling week.
Beyond the move and life full of movement, the Teagan sneaker was a great fit for outings with friends, birthday parties, and even a glamping adventure with my kids. The shoes were easy to style (again, the slip-on feature was perfection!) with my style. I’m so glad I was introduced to the Teagan sneaker through Aetrex’s “Autumn In Aetrex” campaign.
